  • What happens after I register?: Come to our onsite on either SATURDAY, 12/13 from 9a-12p or WEDNESDAY, 12/17 from 6p-8p to drop off your (2) refundable Snack Shack checks (each made out to Westhills Baseball for $150) and to choose a tryout time. Players will not be given a tryout time without turning in 2 checks. *Trotters, Foal, Champions, and Colt do not need to come to either onsite, do tryout, or do Snack Shack shifts.
  • What is your refund policy?: If your player changes their mind and does not want to play after you register, contact your division director to let them know you are dropping. We will refund you minus a 5% processing fee. If you are drafted to a team and decide not to play, you will not be refunded unless a replacement player is found by the league to fill your spot on the roster. If that occurs you will be refunded less 5%.
  • What if we can’t make it to tryouts?: Let your division director and player agent know right away. We offer 2 different weekends for tryouts, one is a primary and the other is a make up. If you can't make either one then we may hold a one-off tryout. *PLEASE NOTE: Every Player in Shetland, Pinto, Mustang, Bronco, and Pony Divisions must Tryout in Spring in order to be eligible for the draft.
  • What division will we be in?: You are placed in the division based on your player's age as of 4/30/2026. For example, if your player is currently 6 and turns 7 in May, he/she will be in Pinto. We follow Pony Baseball rules and this would be your player's "baseball age".
  • How are the teams formed?: Once the drafts are completed you will hear from your new manager within a few days, by email or via the TeamSideline app so please make sure to download that. *PLEASE NOTE that there are circumstances in Spring where a player may not be drafted to a team. If this occurs you will be contacted by the player agent. Players who have registered but aren't drafted will be fully refunded.
  • When are practices?: It’s at each manager's discretion and they will choose when they want to practice. Some managers might have two per week. In Spring teams may practice off site and depending on where your manager chooses, this may come with an additional "team" fee. Your manager will be able to provide you with those details. Trotters, Foal, and Champions do not have weekday practices.
  • When are games played?: Trotters, Foal, and Champions play on Sunday mornings. For other divisions, you should expect to play two games per week. All teams play each Saturday and, after Daylight Saving starts, one weekday game per week, which will start at either 4:45p or 5p.
  • Does everyone play in games?: On game day, all eligible players on each team will be in the line up. For defense, managers are to be in compliant and follow our playing time rules. There is no rule or guarantee on playing certain positions. This will be something you can discuss with your manager as the league does not interfere with their decisions on how to manage their players positions.
  • Is score kept and are there playoffs?: We do keep official score (Pinto and up) and there are playoffs. Scores and pitch counts are tracked in each divisions official league kept score book and scores are then inputted into the website by a league rep where you can track the standings for each division. Once playoff time comes your game schedule will be based on what seed your team was at the end of the regular season.
  • What if we can’t make it to a game?: Please let your manager know as far in advance as possible with any game day conflicts. This will allow them time to adjust their line up prior to first pitch. Many managers work on their line ups days in advance and would appreciate knowing who and who isn't available for an upcoming game.
  • When do I work my Snack Shack shift?: Once the game schedules come out we will have shifts available via a link on our home page. You can choose the 2 shifts that work best for you. Once you work a shift, we will give you your deposit check back. Any shifts not scheduled or failure to show up for your scheduled shifts without prior notification to our directors of hospitality will result in your check(s) being cashed.
  • How can I volunteer for the league?: Our league runs on volunteers and we are always looking for more. In addition to working your snack shack shift, you can help with tryouts, work the sports store and help with beautification projects. If interested, please reach out to one of our Executive Board Members to learn more. Thank you!
